EXAMPLES

So does these PowerGrades instantly work with other footage, too? Yes, no, maybe. Let me explain. As I wrote before, the grades here are not “LogC or Rec709” specific. They are based solely on the behind the scenes images that can be seen on this website. So if your footage looks like these “BTS” images here, the PowerGrades work pretty well. In the following examples, I did not tweak anything in the PowerGrade. I just dragged and dropped the grade onto the footage.

Concerning the examples: On the picture „above“ you can see: Original BTS.
In the picture „below,“ it is: Free footage from the internet that comes close to the original BTS footage.

With those requirements, as I said before, were no more steps to take after applying the PowerGrade.

But don’t expect automatically that this will be the case every time. It really depends on your „starting material“ how much you have to tweak each node. But this is also the beauty of PowerGrades. You are able to change and optimize Offset, Contrast, Saturation, Lift Gamma Gain.

It’s always best to see PowerGrades as an inspiration and starting point.
